Spanish For Young Children

Spanish Classes for 2-5 Year Olds (Under 2 Free)

This is the best time in life to learn language. Spanish classes for this age involve finger plays, chanting, songs, dance, and fun! The adults in the class are learning right along with the babies and toddlers. They will talk with the teacher each class to discuss strategies for teaching Spanish at home. Snack time at the end of class is for practicing table manners and vocabulary.

PUENTE

Spanish Class for Middle School Students Previously in Immersion

This is not your typical Spanish class. Students practice speaking and conversing about real life. Mini lessons on grammar, reading, pronunciation, and writing create a skill set to support conversation. Each person has their own goals and learning styles, and the teacher facilitates many different techniques to incorporate them all. A unique classroom setting allows students to fully engage in the Spanish language in an immersion setting.

Middle school students with Spanish Immersion in school or in the home are invited to join.

Kindergarten Readiness

This is the year when students first see themselves as learners. Preparing for kindergarten allows the whole family to feel relaxed before school starts. Students will practice being in Spanish Immersion Kindergarten so they feel confident the first days and months of school. This course is also great for children who understand more Spanish than English. Abbie Saturno teaches this class, and she has taught 12 years of kindergarten Spanish immersion in Houston and Kings Beach. Parents can also register to have their child perform an assessment to see what Spanish kindergarten skills their child knows already, and ones to keep practicing at home. Spanish Immersion First Grade Readiness Students that are going into First Grade at Kings Beach Elementary will continue to practice their Spanish language skills and academic skills.
